How to use the wizard to embed a map to your site.

Hi,

The map wizard was meant to make life real easy for any one trying to embed the map to his/her site.

This short tutorial is meant to make life even easier for those of you trying to use it.

Intro.

What you don't need: You don't need any module. You can embed it into any text / html module on a source/html mode. Only after creating a map (clicking the button) you will see the code to copy and paste into your site

What you do need: You need an api key from google which you can find the link to get it, at the wizard itself. It is a long string with numbers and or letters. Simply copy it after you get it, and paste it into the correct field in the form.

Center the map.

The map will create a search for you around a certain point, which is the center of the map. You may use the map above the wizard form to find the point where you want to center the map at.

Simply drag the map till you find your point (you may change the zoom to make the movement between places faster.). Then click on the point you prefer and you will see a tool tip with the LAT and LON points. You must copy/paste these numbers into the correct place in the form e.g lat and lon, by your self :).

That's it. Check the agree to terms button, fill your name, email, site, (they will be sent to Jeremy, the developer of the map control) and click the "create the map" button to see the preview map and get the code!!!

Enjoy!. and good luck.
